Business Development Executive

Location: Pune (India)

Position Summary: The Business Development Executive is responsible for developing sales opportunities & leads, through Sales-calls & email campaigns. The ideal candidates for this role are self-motivated, energetic, street-smart and have natural communication skills to engage influencers and decision makers over phone & email. This position will be an individual contributor towards demand generation and will be directly reporting to the Business Development Manager as well as CEO of Saviant.

Job Requirements/Qualifications :

  1. You have 1-3 years of working experience in Software services inside sales, for small/mid-size IT companies
  2. You have done extensive Lead-gen & Sales campaigns for US geography; with consistent targets achievements
  3. You have a Graduate/ Post-Graduate degree from a reputed institute; BBA/MBA degree would be a plus.
  4. You have worked in a metrics driven sales environment, with good working knowledge of a Sales CRM system
  5. You have the ability to work during US time zones.

Your Role & Responsibilities at Saviant :
As a part of agile team environment you are expected to independently work on end-to-end project delivery which includes:

  1. Identify and develop qualified opportunities through email, phone & LinkedIn campaigns
  2. Understand prospects business and introduce them to the relevant services offerings
  3. Effectively nurture leads by building relationships through email & calling follow-ups. Move each lead to the next step in the sales cycle at the appropriate time and ensure that the lead approaches a buying decision.
  4. Carry sales quota on monthly/quarterly basis and work towards creating a healthy pipeline and generate consistent leads
  5. Set appointments with key decision-makers
  6. Use CRM (Zoho) to capture the lead-gen effort and maintain updated records for running daily/weekly reports.

  1. You possess extra-ordinary prospecting skills for creating qualified leads, uncovering contacts using online sources, and creating a healthy lead pipeline
  2. You have the perseverance to regularly conduct thorough follow-up on leads/lists generated by marketing programs and convert them into Opportunities.
  3. You have proven & well-demonstrated expertise in running email/phone campaigns for CxO-level
  4. You have a consultative Sales approach, to first understand the problem, before offering the solution.
  5. You understand how to maintain active engagement with new and existing leads through persuasive follow-up communications designed to increase chances of closure.
  6. You have proven skills to navigate through all levels of a client organization.
  7. You have the perseverance, persistence and an inherent ability to take NO for an answer (several times a day!)
  8. You are a better listener, than a talker.
